The Heyford

A pleasant 2 night stay on the first weekend of the year. The package includes a food allowance per person, so we have just stuffed ourselves with great food from an extensive festive menu. Some options have run out from the festive menu yet that has not limited us. Ryan our server and his colleagues have been attentive and friendly. We bought the double room with balcony (only 1 available) which had its limitations: a large double isn't reflective of the price per night (almost £300 a night), the large bathroom as pretty as it is was cold, underfloor heating would have been best and the light sensor turned off at the wrong time! It also could've been designed with 2 sinks. Bowling was fun (half price for hotel guests). On the whole a much needed and loved break. I was looking for more of a luxurious stay as has been advertised by The Heyford.

From the moment I walked into The 455 Bar in Heyford, I was greeted with the kind of warmth and genuine hospitality that’s almost impossible to find these days. Lauren and Katelyn were absolutely outstanding — not just in their service, but in the way they made the entire atmosphere feel alive, welcoming, and effortlessly fun. Lauren has that perfect mix of professionalism and personality — attentive without hovering, quick with a smile, and always one step ahead of what you need. She made every drink feel like it was crafted with care, and her energy set the tone for the night. Katelyn was just as incredible — friendly, personable, and clearly passionate about what she does. She made everyone at the bar feel seen and included, chatting easily while keeping everything running smoothly. Together, Lauren and Katelyn created such a great vibe — their teamwork and positive energy genuinely make The 455 Bar stand out. It’s rare to find service that feels both personal and polished, but these two absolutely nailed it. Whether you’re stopping in for a quiet drink or a night out with friends, you’ll be in the best hands with Lauren and Katelyn. They’re the kind of people who turn an ordinary evening into something memorable. Thank you both for such an amazing experience — I’ll definitely be back soon, and I’ll be bringing friends!

Great service from checking in and bowling, the room was lovely and the staff were amazing. Big thanks to Jade for the great conversation between the meals and recommendations. Would defiantly stay and again in the future

What an amazing place to stay. I would definitely recommend the hotel. The rooms are really nice and very clean. The Staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Anna on reception was exceptional also the restaurant manager. The food was amazing and everything was such good value. We will definitely be staying again.

My daughter and her boyfriend stayed in your hotel 29/11. Young couple, my daughter treated her boyfriend to a stay in a luxury hotel. I suppose that because of their ages 24 years, your hotel decided not to bother to offer guests from room 112 a glasses of champagne and mezze board as advertised on the website. In future do not apply ageism as it is discrimination. I am absolutely positive that had it been my husband and I, you would not have omitted it.

My wife and I stayed here as part of her birthday celebrations. I honestly have to say that it is the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. Every member of staff we encountered was polite, courteous and extremely good at showing an interest in us and our stay. To name but a few, Ryan, Jade, Skye, Nicky and Lauren all made us feel we were in a place where we were appreciated as customers. Good fun and honest. The food on offer is of good quality and the freshly cooked breakfast would take some beating and the chef made me feel part of the family. What stops it from being a 5/5 for me are the issues around the hotel. Firstly I feel the balcony rooms are pointless. There is zero view as you look directly onto a pitched roof of the restaurant. Although the rooms are clean, the bathroom sinks are poorly designed and a real dirt and grime trap. Whilst the restaurant/bar area is clean, the outside seating area, especially the big comfy seating area, was extremely dirty. Cigarette butts, litter, food from the previous day and filthy seats, made an area that offers so much look dirty and tired. Overall though I would highly recommend a stay. Its close proximity to Bicester and Oxford are extremely convenient. The real young and welcoming vibe from the staff needs applauding and the management should take credit for that. Not a lot can be done about the views, but sort the other niggles out and you have a first class establishment. Thank you for a fun and welcoming stay

Rooms are lovely, modern and spacious. Very clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was really nice. Evening menu really good too. Observed a very entitled customer, dealt with so professionally and politely by the gent on reception in the evening. Despite the rudeness directed at him. The bowling was a nice addition. Within 20 mins of clarkson farm and about the same for Bicester village.

What an amazing stay, two nights. The friendliest and most helpful staff. The food was amazing we had six meals and even experienced the pods. Room was perfect. Played some bowling. Will be back and happily recommend to anyone. Well done guys set the bar high and did not disappoint.
